William Brown, Jr. was born August 18, 1929 in Beaumont, Texas to the late William Brown, Sr. and Selany Brown. He was the oldest of three children. He passed away on August 8, 1997.

During his childhood education, he excelled in sports. He was captain of Charlton Pollard High School football and basketball teams. He graduated from Charlton High School and received an Associate Degree in Psychology from Sacramento City College.

On June 29, 1949, he enlisted into the US Air Force where he served for 28 years.

He was assigned to numerous bases in the US and overseas. He retired from the Air Force at Mather AFB on June 30, 1977 as a Maintenance Analysis Superintendent.
After retirement William Brown embarked upon another career as a federal government civil service employee. After 17 years with civil service, he retired as Management Assistant of Military Records on September 30, 1993.

On September 6, 1954, William Brown was united in holy matrimony to the former Lettie Landry. He was later united in marriage to the former Annie G. Hardelin on November 23, 1991, in Sacramento, California.

Enthusiastic, energetic, and exuberant, he was a role model and active in his community. He served as Little League Coach, Junior League Football Coach, and Brize Norton Basketball Coach. He also served in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10125 of Rancho Cordova, Omega Gents, and numerous sports and social clubs.

William Brown leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Annie Brown; his six sons, Joseph of the North Pole, Alaska; Ronnie of Beaumont, Texas; Kenneth Ray of Chicago, Illinois; Michael of Clinton, Maryland; Geary Wayne (deceased 1967); Keith Deon of New Orleans, Louisiana; one daughter, Donna Marie of Rancho Cordova, California; two stepchildren, Philippe of St. Clair, Michigan and Carole of Sacramento, California; one brother, Ralph of Beaumont, Texas, 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
